This questionnaire is mainly about evaluation of short term exchange of students which took part in Jihlava.

Miniature landscape models

Students were asked to create miniature  water landscape models in their groups. They were discussing that before the visit.

After the lesson students talked about their models and ideas about water landscape. The models were displayed and students, teachers and parents voted for the best model.

Advice for tourists

After both short-term exchanges of groups of pupils students talked about habits and traditions and then prepared a list of pieces of advice useful for people travelling to both countries.

Ecosystem of ponds

Czech and Dutch students together studied biodiversity of pond ecosystem in detail in the ecological centre Chaloupky. Their task was to do a research by a big pond near the forest with its tributary in comparism with a small pond on the meadow.

Art, culture and history presentations

Students had to work on quite demanding tasks as well. They had to compare e. g. townhall in Jihlava and in Amsterdam, history of Jihlava and Amsterdam or.artists Rembrandt and Hollar.

Education

Students were asked to find out about school system in partner´s country and write a comparison.

Festivals

Czech and Dutch students together discussed the festivals which are celebrated in both countries and compared them.

Chemistry

Students practised their vocabulary knowledge.

​

Christmas

Students from both schools got in touch, discussed Christmas time in their country and wrote what they had found out.

Legislature

Students found out about policy for water protection and values for drinkable water in both countries and towns and compared the data.

Our schools

Students prepared a presentation about their schools and then together discussed the differences between them.

​

Plants

Students had to match Latin, Czech, English and Dutch names of plants and trees.

Czech students prepared questions based on the stay in the Czech Republic

Quiz about Jihlava

Students together with their teachers prepared an interactive quiz about Jihlava, its history, sights, symbols and location.

Sight models

After presentations given by students involved in the project their schoolmates made miniature models of some of the sights mentioned in the presentations.

Students prepared presentations about famous places they saw and then talked about these places to their schoolmates. Their schoolmates made miniature models of some of these sights.

The Moravian Karst

Students were tested what they had learnt about the Moravian karst.

​

Traditions

Students compared traditions in The Czech Republic and in The Netherlands.

​

Trees

Students were tested if they can recognize  trees according to photos and then they have to match the picture with correct Czech, Dutch, Latin and English word.

Water analyses

Pupils came with their hypotheses about individual water samples.
After the analyses they compared the results with the hypotheses. 

Water consumption

Students´ task was to answer e. g.  these questions: Compare water consumption in Czech and Dutch families. How much water does 1 person need per week in your family? Do you have anything in your family which helps you to save water? Do you use ´rain water´ for e. g. watering the plants? How could your family save water?

Students of both schools communicate together regularly via e-mail, skype, Whats App or other means of communication. Except everyday topics they discuss also traditions, school systems of both countries as well as more scientific topics like water ecosystems, Moravian karst, flora, water consumption in Czech and Dutch families or legislature in water protection. After discussion they usually produce articles, statistics or answer questionnaires prepared by teachers.
